**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Sourcing and Supplier Management**:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for raw materials, components, and equipment needed for the production of stainless steel products.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and reliable delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the best value for the company.
- **Purchase Order Management**:
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with production requirements and budgets.
- Monitor order status and work with suppliers to resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- **Cost Analysis and Optimization**:
- Analyze procurement costs and develop strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly and identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
- **Inventory and Demand Planning**:
- Collaborate with production and inventory teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels for key materials.
- Implement inventory control measures to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- **Compliance and Documentation**:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
- **Vendor Qualification and Risk Management**:
- Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to assess their capabilities and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier reliability, material shortages, or geopolitical factors.
- **Support New Product Development**:
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to source new materials and components required for product development.
- Participate in the development of specifications and ensure that suppliers meet technical requirements.
- **Market Research and Trend Analysis**:
- Stay informed on market trends, material availability, and price fluctuations to anticipate changes that could impact procurement strategies.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers and products.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical skills for cost analysis, budgeting, and performance tracking.
- **Negotiation and Communication Skills**: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- **Problem-Solving Ability**: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve procurement-related challenges.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation and order processes.
**Preferred**:
- Experience in procurement for stainless steel products or similar manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of international trade and import/export regulations.
