**Job Title**: Specialist Pediatric Neonatal Consultant
**Job Summary**:The Specialist Pediatric Neonatal Consultant is a highly skilled medical professional specializing in the care of newborns, particularly premature infants and critically ill neonates. They are responsible for providing comprehensive medical care, diagnosis, treatment, and management of various neonatal conditions in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
**Responsibilities**:
**Patient Care**:Conducting thorough medical assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations of newborns in NICUs and pediatric units.
Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, including medication management, monitoring, and specialized interventions.
Responding to emergencies, providing immediate care, and stabilizing newborns in critical conditions.
**Collaboration and Teamwork**:Collaborating closely with nurses, respiratory therapists, surgeons, and other specialists to ensure holistic and coordinated care for newborns.
Participating actively in multidisciplinary rounds, discussing patient progress, and contributing to care planning and decision-making.
**Parental Support and Communication**:Communicating effectively with parents or guardians, explaining medical conditions, treatment options, and prognosis in a compassionate and understandable manner.
Providing emotional support, guidance, and education to families throughout the treatment process.
**Research and Education**:Engaging in research activities, contributing to medical literature, and staying updated with the latest advancements and best practices in neonatal medicine.
Educating and supervising medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals involved in neonatal care.
**Administrative Duties**:Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulations, and quality standards.
Participating in administrative tasks, including attending meetings, contributing to policy development, and quality improvement initiatives.
**Salary**: BD2,500.000 - BD3,500.000 per month
