Job Title: Storekeeper
**Job Description**:
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of a store or warehouse. They are in charge of receiving, storing, and distributing goods and supplies while maintaining accurate inventory records. The Storekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the store's inventory management system.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receiving and Inspection:
- Receive incoming shipments of goods, materials, and supplies.
- Inspect deliveries for damages and discrepancies, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Verify the accuracy of quantities received and document any discrepancies.
2. Storage and Inventory Management:
- Organize and arrange items in the store or warehouse, ensuring efficient space utilization.
- Maintain proper labeling, tagging, and identification of stored items.
- Regularly conduct inventory checks to monitor stock levels and identify shortages or excesses.
- Update inventory records and maintain accurate documentation of stock movements.
- Implement proper stock rotation to minimize spoilage or obsolescence.
3. Order Fulfillment and Distribution:
- Process and fulfill internal and external requests for goods and supplies.
- Pack and prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Coordinate with other departments or vendors to arrange for timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain records of outgoing shipments and track their status.
4. Stock Control and Reporting:
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to avoid stockouts.
- Collaborate with procurement or purchasing teams to place orders for replenishment.
- Generate regular reports on stock levels, consumption patterns, and overall inventory performance.
- Identify and report any inventory discrepancies or operational issues to management.
5. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols in handling, storing, and transporting goods.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines governing inventory management.
- Implement measures to prevent theft, damage, or loss of inventory.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using inventory management software or systems.
- Basic knowledge of record-keeping and data entry.
- Physical stamina and ability to handle heavy lifting and manual tasks.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: BD250.000 - BD300.000 per month
