**Introduction**: The Bachelor of Mass Communication program at the Gulf University is designed to develop media competencies for students who wish to work in media fields by developing their knowledge and professional skills. The program also targets students with some previous experience in the media.

**1.** **Expected Qualifications**:

- Applicants must have an earned Bachelor of Mass Communication with an overall GPA of 3.0 and above from an accredited university.
- A Professional Certificate from International institutions is desirable.
- **Expected Experience**:

- A minimum of one year of relevant industrial experience in the specialization.
- Experience in utilizing different software relevant to the Media specialization.

**2.**

**Required Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High proficiency in Arabic and English
- Advanced knowledge of software and hardware specific to any of the three areas of the department's emphases (Public Relations, Broadcasting/Digital media).

**3.** **Rules and Responsibilities**:
The TA is responsible for supporting BMC courses, individual tutoring, holding general tutorial sessions, reviewing presentations, and assisting in departmental tasks assigned by the department's head or the Dean.

Under direct instruction of teaching staff and Department Head, the TA is expected to do part or all of the following:

- Provide the students with an active learning environment to support them in their pursuit of knowledge.
- Monitoring the student progress and providing feedback.
- Assisting with the preparation of course material, mentoring students in need of help, proctoring examinations, etc
- Assist with class presentations, planning, grading quizzes, and preparing student evaluations
- Prepare and routinely maintain classroom materials/resources/displays, assist students in their use, and display students' work.
- Encourage student interaction and engagement with faculty-led activities
- Support and supervise students in lessons with learning strategies
- Provide feedback to the faculty on student academic progression.
