Ib Math Teacher

We are looking for IB Math teacher for an international school in Bahrain. The suitable applicant must has an IB certificate with teaching experience.

**Academic Responsibilities**:

- Develops lesson plans and appropriate instructional aids stressing "discovery" and laboratory learning methods.
- Cooperates in school-wide supervision of students during out-of-classroom activities.
- Creates an effective environment for learning through functional and attractive displays such as bulletin boards, interest centers, etc.
- Demonstrates concepts using models, boards, overhead projector, multi-media projectors and other standard or teacher prepared instructional aids.
- Develops and uses instructional materials suitable for verbal and/or visual instruction with wide range of mental, physical and emotional maturity.
- Develops instructional plans and organizes class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration and working time.
- Provides individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of pupils with varying intellectual abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities.
- Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior required to provide an orderly and productive school environment.
- Evaluates each student's performance and growth in knowledge and understanding, and prepares progress reports.
- Identifies student needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude and learning problems.
- Prepares academic reports for probation students within the first month and second month student is in attendance
- Prepares weekly agendas and submit according to deadline.
- Selects and requisitions instructional materials, books, etc., and maintains inventory records.
- Participates cooperatively with the appropriate administrators to develop the method by which she/he will be evaluated in conformance with Al Hekma guidelines.
- Communicates with parents and school counselors on student progress.
- Maintains professional competence through professional development activities provided by Al Hekma and/or professional growth activities and university courses.
- Participates in faculty and/or school committees of Al-Hekma accreditation for (MSA) and (NCA) activities.
- Participates in the life of the school outside of the classroom (attending sporting events, leading a club, school newspaper, scouts, computer club, yearbook, occasions and events etc.).
- Responsible for adhering to all the rules, policies and regulations as mentioned in the Teacher and Faculty Handbook.
- Initiates extra-curricular club during the academic year.
- Follows the annual pacing instructional plan provided to him/her. If changes are required, notifies the coordinator and Academic Controller.
- Check student notebooks and books on a daily basis.
- Write the date on the graded assignment.
- Enter assignments on grade quick on a daily basis in order to maintain an up-to-date record of each student’s performance.
