**WHAT TO EXPECT**

As a Service Technician, we look for ambitious, customer focused, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Bahrain office, you will be work independently and report to the Operations Lead/Supervisor.
- You'll be working with Operations Lead, Sales Engineers, Team Leader and Service Coordinators
- This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be working Onshore/Offshore.
- You will be supporting the Bahrain/ASRY Service Branch Operations directly.
- This position is vital to Gates because it's a critical part of our operations that drives revenue.

**Key responsibilities (to name a few)**:

- Responsible for carrying out repairs and service jobs of very high order in workshop /Vessels/Drilling Rigs and customer job locations under the guidance of the Supervisor/Operation lead/Mangers/ Senior hands.
- To carry out overhauling and testing of Hydraulic Pumps, Motors, cylinders, control valves, HPU, Actuators and other hydraulic and pneumatic components.
- Carry out vessel Cranes, steering gear system, Mooring winch system refurbishments, Testing and repairs at Shipyards/Onshore and offshore.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Preferred to have Vocational, Diploma or Technical Qualification
- 2 - 5 years, Technician experience, preferred site jobs exposure
- Knowledge in Hydraulic Pumps, Motors, cylinders, control valves, HPU and other hydraulic and pneumatic components
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, manuals, and documents.
- Customer focused and self-motivated.
- Meet month end deadlines and absorb / manage work pressure

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible to perform technical operations required for daily functioning of the Branch including assembling hose and fittings, interacting with customers, completing associated paperwork, handling cash, and sales and inventory management as per branch requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: List the essential functions that are core to this position and represent at least 5% of the incumbent's time. Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.
- Responsible for carrying out repairs and service jobs of very high order in workshop /Vessels/Drilling Rigs and customer job locations under the guidance of the Supervisor/Operation lead/Mangers/ Senior hands.
- To carry out overhauling and testing of Hydraulic Pumps, Motors, cylinders, control valves, HPU, Actuators and other hydraulic and pneumatic components.
- Carry out vessel Cranes, steering gear system, Mooring winch system refurbishments, Testing and repairs at Shipyards/Onshore and offshore.
- Carryout and monitor inspection/test of hydraulic components/systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance practices on plant equipment's /machinery according to the plan/schedule.
- Follow necessary work instructions, operating procedures, best practices, method statements and use proper tools and equipment for carrying out the jobs.
- Supervise and support mechanics, Asst. technicians and others involved in the jobs.
- Ensure all Testing and Monitoring Equipment / Instruments are identified and maintained in good order at all times.
- Only instruments which are calibrated as per requirements are only used in measuring and testing equipment performance.
