Lidar Analyst

POSITION: LIDAR ANALYST

OVERVIEW:
Your role will be to acquire point cloud data from the field using Terrestrial & Mobile Laser scanner and manage the processing tasks of LiDAR survey data and output in line with client specifications.

A successful applicant will manage field data collection & data processing to meet client deliverable deadlines on time. Excellent communication & presentation skills. Must have strong understanding of FARO, Leica Laser scanners, Survey equipment’s & Methodology, geospatial data, survey deliverables and LiDAR.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will perform Lidar point cloud data acquisition at the client location independently and then process captured LiDAR datasets through the entire post-process journey including

1. GNSS and observation data processing

2. classification of LiDAR datasets

3. Derivation of terrain and contour information

4. QA and QC on LiDAR data

5. Quality reports for customers

6. Interpretation of client deliverable requirements and synthesis of relevant deliverables

7. Coordinate system transformations

8. Generation of metadata information for surveys

9. Communication with customers regarding project delivery

10. Asbuild & 3D model

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- BS/Masters in Engineering, Geology, Geomatics or surveying.
- Strong Technical Aptitude
- 3+ years’ experience with processing of LiDAR;
- Knowledge of: AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, Global Mapper, Terrasolid, other GIS programs
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task;
- Excellent time management skills; and
- Ability to work in a team.

**Salary**: BD500.000 - BD700.000 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Manama: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- LIDAR DATA ACQUISITION & PROCESSING: 5 years (preferred)
