Financial Analyst

**BACKGROUND**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and analyze cash flow statements to monitor the financial health of the organization.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain differences between budgeted and actual financial performance.
- Generate Management Information System (MIS) reports to provide timely and accurate financial information.
- Develop financial forecasts and budgetary plans to guide business planning and strategy.
- Prepare Profit and Loss (P&L) statements to summarize revenues, costs, and expenses.
- Perform bank and BP reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Conduct aging analysis to manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
- Handle VAT affairs, including preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Supervise regular accounting processes such as Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Journal Entries.
- Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Expertly use Excel and Microsoft O365 for financial analysis and reporting.
- Organize and format reports for presentation purposes, including the creation of charts and graphs.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft O365.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
