Junior Broadcasting Technician

Purpose of the Role

Reporting directly to the brand’s C-Suite management; the Junior Broadcasting Technician defines, leads and oversees the broadcast production and media rights distribution around the brand’s events and broadcast assets.

The position drives and ensures the continued growth of distribution of the brands media rights on a global basis, manages accurate contract delivery and the further activation of the brands content archive.

Key Responsibilities

Broadcast production
- Defines the requirements and processes for host broadcast production for the brands events and oversee consistent and timely implementation.
- Communicate the vision and visual setting of each shot
- Develop a shooting plan including lighting and camera operations and movements.
- Guide the Production teams on the position for multiple camera set-up in line with the shot requirements.
- Guide the switching of cameras for the capturing of the event or show.
- Oversee rehearsals for the production to provide inputs on equipment set-up or other changes.

Media rights distribution
- Develop the Brands media rights distribution strategy and constantly benchmark against industry developments.
- Grow global distribution of the Brands media rights by extending existing deals and the acquisition of new clients
- Ensure adequate monitoring of the Brand’s related coverage and oversee the reporting to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and further develop the implementation and the licensing of the Brand’s content archive

Event Production
- Coordinate Technical Needs
- Create Event Concepts
- Perform Site Inspections
- Work with Vendors
- Manage Budgets

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in media, marketing, or communication
- A proven track record in international media rights sales for sports or entertainment and excellent skills in contract negotiation
- Understanding of the distribution technologies, host broadcast and broadcast production for sports events. Experience in the MMA media rights and broadcast production for MMA events considered an advantage
- Working knowledge of archiving systems, archive rights licensing and rights management
- Thorough understanding of the global media landscape, including fundamental legal aspects related to sports rights
- Strong attitude towards high quality, excellence in delivery and ‘client-first’ thinking
- Creative and analytical thinkers
- Juggle many different tasks and collaborate with a wide range of teams in order to oversee events, so they must be highly organized, great communicators with the ability to prioritize many different simultaneous tasks
- Fluency in English, any other language is an asset
