**Job Purpose**:
The Database Dev Lead will take up the responsibility of Database Development and Support of all the Front office / Back office system.
**Job Background/context**:
This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to work on complex and challenging Front Office risk & Backoffice Settlement and Payment projects within Markets Technology, cooperating with multiple teams to develop this franchise-critical strategic cross-business platform.

Knowledge/Experience:

- _10+ years hands on experience_

Excellent analytic & problem solving skills_

Experience in different Oracle-RDBMS with focus on Design, maintenance and support of medium to large enterprise/distributed databases_

Excellent knowledge in troubleshooting, performance tuning and best practices_
- _
Familiar with all phases of the systems lifecycle, from analysis, design and development and deployment._
- _
- _
Knowledge of the FX/MM/FI market and products is very desirable._

Skills:_**

Strong SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL programming skills_

Good Knowledge of RDBMS Oracle (10g and higher_

Good understanding of platform support procedures and concepts_

Ability to guide the juniors_

Technical_**

Essential:

Sound knowledge and hands on experience of Performance tuning and trouble shooting of production database systems._

Experience in understanding and implementing policies and defined data security standards both from technical (RDBMS - database) and organizational point of view_
- _Desirable

Working Experience on High Availability Systems that utilizes Replication/Mirroring standards/approach in Oracle database_

knowledge on Linux, AIX operating systems
- _knowledge on UNIX commands and shell scripting_

Graduation/Post Graduation qualifications in Computer Engineering (preferable) or any equivalent stream with a very good academic record throughout._
