**4.0** **Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Scope of the work**

Physiotherapy research links theory and developing practice, this practice has, at the same time, retained its links to following core skills:

- Manual therapy (including joint mobilization and manipulation, fascial therapy& therapeutic massage)
- Electrotherapy
- Exercise and movement
- Hydrotherapy
- Kindred methods of treatment to help the use of a new related area of practice responding to patients need and adapting evidence base within the value of patient safety, centeredness and effectiveness

After considering the patient’s conditions, explain to the patient the referral letter and taking their vital signs when needed. The Physiotherapist will carry out the following:
Evaluates the patient’s condition, the severity of pain, movements of joints, muscle strength, body kinetic functions and other elements of evaluation required.

Indicates to the patient the programme and required amount of physiotherapy, including treatment period, frequenting times, number of sessions and other therapeutic required (unless prescribed by the patient’s doctor).

Provide physiotherapy treatment.

Advises the patient on exercise methods and correct postures that should be followed at home or at work supplementing the treatment at the department.

Evaluate the patient during treatment according to his/her condition and takes necessary procedures to refer the patient to his/her doctor, if required.

Carries out health education activities for health problems related to the profession of physiotherapy.

Carries out arthral, muscle and sports tests.

Use compensatory devices and simple arthral fixtures.

Provide individualized and group rehabilitation care for inpatients and outpatients, pertaining to the medical condition and problems of the patient/client. The provided service should be in accordance with the standard care and practice of physiotherapy and in consultation with the senior physiotherapist when needed.

Participate actively in relevant hospital /department quality Improvement activities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Must have one year related experience with the position
