Early Childhood Support Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Support Specialist. This role will provide vital support to our educational efforts, ensuring the well-being and development of young students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with administrative tasks such as attendance records, filing, and scheduling.
- Support educational efforts in both Special Education and general education classrooms as needed.
- Work collaboratively with students, educators, and specialists to develop and implement plans for student growth.
- Monitor students during various phases of the school day, providing a safe and nurturing environment.
- Prepare instructional materials related to classroom lessons, enhancing the learning experience.
- Accompany and supervise students on field trips, promoting hands-on learning.
- Grading and providing testing results using identified scoring techniques, supporting student progress.
- Provide tutoring services to students in all subject areas, fostering academic success.
Requirements:
- Male applicants born after 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Direct deposit of pay is mandatory.
- A two-year trial period may be required.
- Appointment is subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties involve interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
Qualifications:
- One year of general experience or two years of education above high school level obtained in an accredited institution.
- General experience should include progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work indicating ability to acquire necessary knowledge and skills.
- Combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position.
