Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Ceph-focused software-defined storage solution. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for building and managing a globally distributed team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team in developing a software-defined storage solution using Ceph technology.
  • Build and manage a global team of engineers to achieve project goals.
  • Develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
  • Contribute directly to the team's goals, demonstrating sound engineering principles.
  • Manage expectations with other engineering teams and external stakeholders.
  • Advocate for modern, agile software development practices.
Requirements:
  • A background in software engineering, preferably with experience in Python and C++.
  • Experience operating scale-out storage clusters on Linux in production environments, preferably with Ceph.
  • The ability to develop and grow people and have a track record of doing so.
  • A passion for building products that improve how people operate software and infrastructure everywhere.
