We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our team of distributed engineers in designing and implementing the best Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of engineers to develop and implement Ubuntu integration for the latest hardware platforms and software stacks.
- Engage with commercial partners to deliver a delightful and optimized Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
- Develop and coach team members through mentoring, leading by example, and feedback.
- Oversee commercial engagements and ensure timely delivery on agreed project milestones.
- Ensure strict quality and reliability standards are maintained.
- Collaborate with other teams at Canonical to ensure alignment on product architecture and roadmaps.
- Experience working with Linux distributions, Debian packaging, and high-performance server-class hardware.
- Proven experience in managing or leading a team of software engineers.
- Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a technology field.
