Job Title: Operating Systems Specialist


  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high standards of quality in various Linux distributions and their related products.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues within Ubuntu Desktop, Ubuntu Server, and Ubuntu Core.
  • Enhance continuous integration processes to guarantee the quality of Ubuntu images, releases, and packages.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide valuable insights.
  • Support other teams by providing quality-related data to aid in planning and improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, refine, and automate test cases, encompassing unit tests and end-to-end multi-machine workloads.

About the Role:

  • This is a remote position that requires a strong background in software engineering, Linux, and open-source technologies.
  • Experience with Python and Shell scripting is essential; C/C++ experience is also desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent troubleshooting skills and experience working collaboratively to identify, isolate, and resolve issues.
  • Proficiency in quality processes and continuous integration tools is highly valued.
