About the Role:
The Controller (Accounts Payable Manager) will oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely vendor invoices and payments. This role is crucial to managing the financial health of the company by providing insights into cash flow, optimizing payment cycles, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice receipt, verification, approval, and payment processing.
  • Efficient management of vendor accounts, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Monitoring outstanding payables and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Leadership and mentoring of the accounts payable team, promoting optimal performance and development.
  • Development and enforcement of policies and procedures for proper handling of payables and financial transactions.
  • Cash flow management and optimization of payment cycles, working closely with the finance team.
  • Collaboration with vendors and internal teams to achieve cost-effective payment terms and capitalize on discounts or early payment opportunities.
  • Preparation and maintenance of regular accounts payable reports for management, highlighting trends, outstanding payments, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Assistance with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of accounts payable transactions.
  • Compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards related to accounts payable, as well as coordination with internal and external auditors to support audits and resolve issues.
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements to streamline the accounts payable function and reduce inefficiencies.
