We are looking for a highly skilled Diagnostic Technician to join our team at Leading Edge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and Repair Complex Vehicle Systems: Accurately diagnose complex vehicle system issues, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, and repair them within a reasonable timeframe.
- Perform Diagnostic Work: Perform diagnostic work on various vehicle systems, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
- Conduct Scheduled Maintenance: Conduct scheduled maintenance, fluid changes, and lubrications to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Document Repairs and Maintenance: Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoot Issues: Identify causes of issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Paperwork and Procedures: Document repairs, order parts, and bill customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Quality Control: Perform final operational tests to ensure quality and reliability.
- Support Other Technicians: Assist other technicians with duties as needed, providing support for the repair and maintenance teams.
- FOLLOW SAFETY REGULATIONS: Follow all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Education: A vocational or technical degree in automotive services is required.
- Experience: At least 3 years of training and certifications from technician trainee to maintenance and repair technician roles.
- Preferred Training: Auto electricity, scanner/on-board diagnostics II, lab scope diagnostics are highly desirable.
- Key Knowledge: Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, suspension, steering, brake repair, and electrical/electronic systems is essential.
- Certifications: Certification in suspension, steering, brake repair, engine repair, and electrical/electronic systems is preferred.
- Language Skills: English language proficiency is required, with Arabic being an asset.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic, compute rate, ratio, and percent skills are necessary.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, use hands, lift/move up to 20 KG, and 35 KG is required.
- Work Environment: Working 60 hours/week, with overtime, Saturdays, and evenings (Ramadan) may be required.
- Miscellaneous: A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, compliance with internal policies, background check, and medical clearance are essential.
