Credit Risk Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct credit assessments for corporate banking requests, aligning them with risk and market standards.
  2. Prepare comprehensive credit evaluation studies including:
    1. Review inquiries and ensure completeness of client/bank information and documents.
    2. Verify the accuracy of submitted information using internal and external sources.
    3. Evaluate project feasibility from technical, financial, and market perspectives, including sensitivity analysis.
    4. Assess financial models, ratios, assumptions, and cash flow statements.
    5. Ensure accuracy of inputs in Moody's system.
    6. Analyze clients' financial soundness, creditworthiness, and identify potential risks, providing expert recommendations.
    7. Draft and adjust credit recommendations and terms per policies and regulations, and submit to credit committees for review.
  3. Analyze all types of risks by:
    1. Reviewing financial and credit positions, project cash flows, sector trends, and financing purpose.
    2. Recommending effective risk mitigation strategies and suitable financing structures.
    3. Recommending repayment schedules and risk conditions based on thorough analysis.
  4. Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or management team.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of financial and credit analysis, feasibility studies, and cash flow assessments.
  • Deep understanding of economic indicators, legal aspects, and the Bahraini banking market.
  • Familiarity with credit policies, regulations, and guidelines specific to the industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in a similar role within the banking sector.
  • Proficiency in English (Level 3 - Advanced) is required for effective communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for efficient data analysis and presentation.
