Electrical Maintenance Specialist for a Safe and Efficient MECD Plant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at RESO. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the electrical systems of our MECD plant, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

About the Role

  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment and instrumentation in accordance with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant EH&SQ regulations and support the plant manager in developing plans for compliance.
  • Take an active role in all site safety programs and comply with all company and statutory safety rules.
  • Provide safety induction training to visitors/contractors as needed.
  • Report and eliminate potential hazards using the Air Products Basic Safety Practice (BSP) system.
  • Participate in site and operations safety meetings.
  • Support in operating the carbon dioxide plant as per procedures.
  • Fulfill log sheets and daily reports.
  • Verify availability and reliability calculations and prepare industrial report figures.
  • Avoid wasting raw materials and monitor the plant water treatment plan.
  • Monitor Carboscan parameters and performance.
  • Handle operations of the CO2 Plant individually with support from one junior operator.
  • Ensure spare parts are stored properly and maintained.
  • Responsible for Mechanical/E&I daily activities and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain company rules for discipline, punctuality, and absenteeism.
  • Make entries into the plant logbook, including operational data and unusual events.
  • Collect production data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Carry out routine and specific work tasks as directed by the plant manager.
  • Start, stop, and isolate equipment as required.
  • Maintain control of safety and operation during plant shutdowns.
  • Provide assistance to the maintenance team.
  • Align with the yearly operation and maintenance plan.
  • Provide technical and troubleshooting assistance at the facility.
  • Ensure maintenance is performed to necessary standards.
  • Provide minor project supervision and spare control via SAP.
  • Respond to critical alarm dial-outs from the Plant.
  • Update operations SOPs when required.
  • Handle the site's electrical instrumentation and automation maintenance.
  • Prepare trip technical reports and improvement study reports.
  • Supervise electrical work activities and spare parts purchasing.
  • Follow all RESO policies and standards.
  • Be familiar with the tanker filling process and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical/Automation/Instrumentation).
  • Minimum two years of experience as an electrical maintenance engineer.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Fluent oral and written English.
  • Extensive coordination experience in a multi-team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Commitment to follow the code of conduct and ethics.
