Job DescriptionAvoid Delays, Ensure Quality

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical QC Engineer to join our top-notch quality controls team on a high-profile project in Bahrain. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all mechanical works meet the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Review technical and material submittals
  • Assist the QC manager in all activities related to the 3-phase inspection process for mechanical activities
  • Monitor all phases and processes required for the effective completion of mechanical works
  • Implement Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans, and ensure necessary records are generated in a timely manner
  • Manage the inspection and testing of mechanical works, including monitoring the work of QC Inspectors under their authority
  • Closely monitor punch lists established for incomplete related to mechanical works
  • Ensure measurement & testing instruments employed for mechanical works are functional and calibrated
  • Witness, review, and approve welder qualifications and WPS, PQR qualifications
  • Liaise and coordinate with 3rd Party Testing/Inspection Company as required
  • Conduct statistical analysis and evaluation of test data related to mechanical works
  • Prepare, file, and maintain test/inspection records and other quality records generated related to mechanical works
  • Identify and resolve problems and potential or actual non-conformances related to mechanical works
  • Advise the QC Manager of non-conformance occurrences and raise a Non-conformance Report for non-compliant work, and monitor the closeout and effectiveness of correction and corrective action undertaken

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 7 years of experience as a quality control mechanical engineer
  • Experience in mega projects is highly preferred, especially in US Army projects
