We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Room Ambassador to join our team at Client of Domo Ventures W.L.L.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring seamless table management, and maintaining high standards of professionalism in our dining room.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Greet Guests: Welcome guests in a courteous and professional manner, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
  2. Communication: Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth communication, sharing information about clients' bookings, needs, requests, allergies, and special events.
  3. Recognize Key Clients: Identify and recognize regular clients, shareholders, and other key individuals, providing personalized service and attention to detail.
  4. Follow Reception Sequence: Adhere to our restaurant's Reception Sequence of Service, ensuring that each guest receives prompt and attentive service.
  5. Table Management: Manage tables effectively, ensuring that they are set before guests arrive, and maintaining an up-to-date floor plan to maximize bookings.
  6. Front Desk Operations: Manage the front desk, receiving incoming calls, greeting guests, and attending to their needs while maintaining high standards of restaurant etiquette.
  7. Availability and Seating: Inform guests about table availability and direct them to their seats, ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience.
  8. Customer Complaints: Collaborate with the management team to resolve customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  9. Email Management: Monitor and respond to restaurant emails, drawing the attention of management to any concerns or issues.
  10. Reservations: Process reservation enquiries via phone or booking system, confirming large bookings with the manager on duty.
  11. Shift Handover: Provide a clear handover during shift changes, ensuring that all necessary information is shared.
  12. Communication: Effectively communicate guest information, such as reservation notes, birthdays, allergies, and special comments, to the manager on duty.
  13. Security: Report any security issues to the manager on duty.

Requirements and Skills

  • Experience: Previous work experience as a hostess or similar role.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
