We are seeking an experienced and skilled AS/400 Equation Core Banking Specialist to join our team at VAM Systems in Bahrain. This is a unique opportunity for individuals with a strong background in computer science and engineering, and experience in equation development.
Responsibilities- Serving as a senior member of the equation support team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing in-house programs, and providing level 2 support for these applications.
- Collaborating closely with the Finastra support application testing team to coordinate bug fixes and enhancements for equation.
- Participating in system development life cycle, including code review, system testing, and integration of AS/400 applications.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Key Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- At least 3+ years of relevant work experience in banking, specifically in equation core banking concepts, GL posting, loan calculations, and EOD.
- Proficiency in AS/400 applications command language, object-oriented design, and system maintenance.
- Familiarity with code review systems and system testing methodologies.
