We are seeking an experienced Logistics and Shipping Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting our dangerous goods program, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, and developing and implementing solutions to improve dangerous goods programs.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and communicate dangerous goods processes and procedures
- Review and administer company policies and regulations
- Stay current with local, state, and federal hazardous materials/dangerous goods regulations and legislation
- Audit facilities to ensure compliance with dangerous goods programs and initiatives
- Analyze and develop solutions to improve dangerous goods programs
- Evaluate potential impacts on business processes and advise senior leaders
- Lead meetings and training sessions
Qualifications:
- Relevant work experience in handling Dangerous goods
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles
- Flexible scheduling abilities
Preferred Skills:
- IATA certification
- Recent DG shipping experience
- Carrier-defined shipping programs knowledge
- Industry-related regulations understanding
- Logistics degree or related field
