Python Development Expert Opportunity

We are assembling a high-performance team to specialize in the Python programming language and its ecosystem on Ubuntu. This role will deliver the best possible Python runtime, developer experience, and supporting tooling in Ubuntu.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate proactively with a remote team
  • Select, integrate, and package best-of-breed tooling with Ubuntu to enhance developer and operator experience with Python
  • Write high-quality code to create new features and functionalities
  • Debug issues and produce high-quality code to resolve them efficiently
  • Review code produced by other engineers and developers
Key Requirements
  • Significant Python experience, preferably in cloud-native software and Linux environments
  • Experience or interest in learning how to package software for Debian and Ubuntu distributions
  • A strong background in Linux
  • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university levels
