This role will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of Gulf Air Group's Information Security Management System, ensuring compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry best practices. The key accountabilities include:

  • Supporting the Head of Information Security in defining and implementing information security governance documentation, including policies, manuals, SOPs, and guidelines.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Information Security to conduct risk-based assessments of information security policies and operating procedures owned by other departments within the group against industry-recognized security standards and best practices, ensuring adequate preventive, detective, and corrective controls to provide data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
  • Working closely with the Head of Information Security to analyze security requirements and controls to identify gaps and provide recommendations on industry best practices, trends, and technology products.
  • Conducting annual and continuous information security risk assessments, identifying business and technology risks, internal controls that mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement.
  • Developing and maintaining an information register and ensuring that the information is classified by data owners and protected in accordance with the information classification framework.
  • Providing awareness sessions to new and existing employees on information security policies and global trends as part of the awareness program.
  • Supporting the definition of information security requirements in information systems, projects, and third parties in cooperation with the delivery departments, such as ICT and FM.
  • Supporting the investigation of information security incidents and ensuring that necessary actions and disciplinary actions are taken.
  • Defining information security requirements to be included in ICT disaster recovery plans to ensure continuity of information security controls during disasters.
  • Supporting internal and external audits to ensure that Gulf Air Group's Information Security Management System complies with best practices and local regulations.
  • Improving the maturity of the information security management system through suggestions and support for the implementation of technologies such as DLP solutions and GRC solutions.
