Education Director

The Canadian School Bahrain is a not-for-profit, private international school offering the British Columbia, Canada curriculum.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to fill the role of Head of High School at our institution. This position involves providing leadership and direction to the high school department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education that meets the needs of our students.

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record of success in school administration. They will work closely with the Principal and other members of the senior leadership team to develop and implement the school's strategic plan and ensure effective implementation of school policies and procedures.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Providing academic leadership and direction to the high school department
• Developing and implementing curricula and assessment strategies that meet the needs of our students
• Leading teacher development and evaluation initiatives to ensure high-quality teaching practices
• Coordinating and implementing school-wide programs and initiatives to enhance student learning and achievement
• Collaborating with the Principal and other members of the senior leadership team to develop and implement the school's strategic plan

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to possess:

• A Master's degree in Education or a related field
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in education, including three years in a BC school, with at least three years as Principal, Vice Principal, or administrative leader in a BC school
• A strong understanding of the BC curriculum and educational policies
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• A proven track record of success in school administration
