Cybersecurity Professor Wanted for Academic Position

Established institutions such as AUBH Management W.L.L. are seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of a Cybersecurity professor. The successful individual will be responsible for teaching undergraduate-level courses in Cybersecurity, as well as developing and modifying the curriculum for degree or certificate programs involving a series of related courses.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Taught up to five courses per semester depending on rank.
  • Developed course syllabus, planned lessons, and assigned tasks.
  • Assessed student progress through grading assignments, papers, exams, and other work.
  • Advised students about which classes to take and how to achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborated with colleagues to develop or modify the curriculum for degree or certificate programs involving a series of courses.
  • Stayed informed about changes and innovations in the field of Cybersecurity.
  • Invigilated examinations.
  • Attended faculty meetings.
  • Participated in general administration works related to teaching and assessments' quality assurance.
  • Written research proposals, papers, and other publications.
  • Supervised projects/theses of students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Ph.D. degree from a recognized institution in a relevant field (Cybersecurity) is required.
  • Experience teaching Cybersecurity and/or related programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • Experience in teaching and developing higher education programs in Cybersecurity and/or related fields, or comparable experience in industry, is preferred.
  • Premium will be given to candidates with degrees from the United States and those with experience at the higher education level in the United States.

Skills and Competencies Required:

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills with peers, leadership, and external constituents, including the business community.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Learning Management Systems (preferable).
  • Demonstrate leadership aligned with AUBH core values of integrity, engagement, excellence, and desire to make a difference.
