Senior Occupational Health Specialist

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive occupational health assessments, developing and implementing strategies to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses, and providing guidance and support to management and employees on occupational health and safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive occupational health assessments and provide recommendations for employee health and safety.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses.
  3. Provide guidance and support to management and employees on occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement health promotion programs.
  5. Conduct research and stay up-to-date on current occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
  6. Manage and maintain employee health records and ensure confidentiality.
  7. Conduct audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace.
  8. Provide training and education to employees on occupational health and safety topics.
  9. Collaborate with HR and management to develop return-to-work programs for employees on sick leave.
  10. Participate in the development and review of company policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety.

Requirements:

  • MBBS Medical degree and specialization in Occupational Medicine is a must.
  • Valid license to practice as a Specialist Occupational Medicine.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational medicine.
  • In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
