About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Marine Fiberglass Craftsman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating strong, durable fiberglass components used in the construction of our high-quality marine products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare molds and materials for the lamination process, ensuring accurate lay-up of fiberglass layers.
  • Apply fiberglass resins and coatings to molds, ensuring proper application and thickness.
  • Cut, layer, and smooth fiberglass sheets according to technical specifications and project requirements.
  • Use hand and power tools to trim, sand, and finish laminated components.
  • Inspect and repair any defects or imperfections in fiberglass components.
  • Ensure all work meets the company's quality standards and is completed within production timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are stored and handled safely.
  • Follow safety protocols for handling resins, chemicals, and fiberglass materials.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Marine Fiberglass Craftsman or in a similar role, preferably within the marine industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fiberglass lamination techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Experience with hand and power tools used in fiberglass trimming, sanding, and finishing.
  • Good physical stamina, as the role involves standing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices when working with fiberglass and resins.
