Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Director to oversee the financial operations of Domo Ventures W.L.L., a dynamic holding company with diverse subsidiaries in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing a centralized finance function, strengthening financial controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish a Centralized Finance Function: Ensure alignment with the group's strategic objectives by developing and implementing effective financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  2. Develop and Implement Financial Policies: Enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks by creating and enforcing financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  3. Prepare and Analyze Financial Reports: Provide insights for decision-making by preparing and analyzing financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
  4. Manage Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to ensure accurate financial planning and decision-making.
  5. Oversee Treasury Functions: Manage cash management, risk management, and banking relationships to ensure efficient and effective treasury operations.
  6. Implement Financial Modules: Lead the implementation of the financial modules of an ERP system (Odoo) to enhance financial systems and processes.
  7. Drive Financial Systems and Processes Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance financial systems and processes.
  8. Manage Financial Accounting and Reporting: Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards by managing financial accounting and reporting.
  9. Provide Financial Support: Provide financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting to subsidiaries to ensure their financial success.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  2. Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  3. Leadership Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  4. Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting principles is essential.
  5. ERP System Implementation: Experience in implementing financial modules on ERP systems, preferably Odoo, is highly desirable.
  6. Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies is required.
  7. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  8. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
