At RESO, we are committed to supporting the transition of service members into civilian life. As a Military Transition Facilitator, you will play a critical role in this process by providing guidance and training to help veterans successfully navigate their post-military career.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate facilitator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching and instructing military personnel transitioning to civilian professional and vocational occupations. You will guide service members in identifying their goals and recognizing any employment or education gaps. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive support in preparing for civilian employment, job searching, job application processes, networking, technical training opportunities, and credentialing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach and instruct military personnel transitioning to civilian professional and vocational occupations
  • Guide service members in identifying their goals and recognizing any employment or education gaps
  • Provide comprehensive support in preparing for civilian employment, job searching, job application processes, networking, technical training opportunities, and credentialing
  • Conduct small and large group instruction on the job search process
  • Deliver standardized curriculum via in-person or virtual classrooms
  • Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner, including travel expense and classroom reports

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma and 3 years of experience as a professional trainer, facilitator, and/or classroom instructor
  • OR an Associate's degree and relevant experience demonstrating understanding of private and public sector employment processes
  • Must be knowledgeable of the workplace, jobs, and requirements for entry into those jobs
  • Must demonstrate the ability to provide standardized training to groups with up to 50 participants
  • Familiarity with MS Windows and Office
  • Effective communication skills, including ability to communicate with military clients and government representatives
  • Comfortable instructing and speaking in front of a group, observing others, and professionally engaging with a diverse audience
  • Ability to work independently, follow directions, and respond to emergent facilitation assignments

Benefits and Compensation:

We offer a competitive compensation package, including excellent time management skills, paid comprehensive initial training, and reimbursement for travel expenses. Our part-time facilitators' schedules can vary weekly, but generally work 2-3 days consecutively. We also have a comprehensive benefits package, which includes access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
