About the Role

As a Somali Linguist at RESO, you will play a critical role in supporting our operations and mission requirements. This position involves providing high-level interpretation, transcription, and translation services in Somali, ensuring seamless communication in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough analysis of Somali language documents, identifying key information and conveying it effectively to stakeholders.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients, leveraging linguistic expertise and interpersonal skills to build trust and cooperation.
  3. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance linguistic skills and stay up-to-date on industry developments.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals, promoting a culture of inclusivity, respect, and open communication.
  5. Perform other related tasks as assigned, leveraging creative problem-solving skills and adaptability to drive results.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as linguistics, translation, or international relations, or equivalent experience.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably with a focus on Somali language and culture.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Somali language and culture, including knowledge of regional dialects and nuances.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Meet U.S. citizenship requirements and possess SECRET Personnel Security Clearance.
