New Product Development Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled New Product Development (NPD) Chef to join our team and contribute to long-term food product development.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead new product development projects by researching consumer markets, developing new product concepts, and creating prototypes.
  • Brainstorm innovative ideas for new products or existing product modifications/add-ons.
  • Analyze and evaluate trial results to make necessary adjustments to ingredients, formulations, processes, and equipment prior to full-scale production.
  • Create high-quality product samples as requested.
  • Evaluate the shelf life, allergens, ingredients cost, and process for each product.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ensure correct handling and maintenance of equipment within the R&D space.
  • Foster effective employee relations.
  • Comply with health, safety, and hygiene policies.
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CDP or sous chef is required.
  • The candidate must be able to initiate, plan, and implement new product development projects.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) is necessary.
  • Strong cooking methods, ingredient knowledge, and procedural skills are required.
  • Able to maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment.
  • Display good work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Quality control and efficient workflow are crucial.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices is beneficial.
  • Strong time-management skills and punctuality are essential.
  • A friendly and pleasant personality that can work well with others is required.
