The Assistant Director of Rooms plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our rooms division meets the highest standards of quality and service. As a leader in this area, you will be responsible for overseeing all departments within the division, providing guidance and support to Heads of Department, and monitoring employee performance to guarantee excellent guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor employee performance through Heads of Department, maintaining excellent knowledge of all colleague-related issues.
- Lead all departments in the division (FO, Concierge, Housekeeping, Spa, Bell & Door, Boutique).
- Provide guidance and support to all Heads of Department to ensure they can manage their departments efficiently and effectively.
- Streamline all procedures to ensure they are guest-oriented and aimed at providing the best possible guest experience.
- Review guest activities to ensure they are relevant and contribute positively to their experience.
- Meet VIPs and serve as a point of contact to ensure they feel recognized and valued.
- Be fully aware of all KPIs and financial goals of the hotel to communicate, motivate, and direct teams to achieve them.
- Drive guest-centric projects to elevate the experience and recognition of qualifying guests.
- Develop colleagues to ensure a desirable talent pipeline.
- Ensure physical condition of all front and back-of-house areas is maintained to the desired level.
- Attend regular operational meetings to facilitate effective coordination and partnership between departments.
