Job Overview

Grant Thornton Bahrain is seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead the organization's IT infrastructure functions. This includes strategizing, planning, and managing the Data Center, Network administration, Server administration, Cloud Services administration, Service Desk, Desktop support, and Database administration.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Direct and support the IT infrastructure functions, ensuring business goals and objectives are met within the mission, vision, and values of the IT department.
  2. Strategize, design, implement, maintain, manage, and support Group IT Infrastructure.
  3. Analyse problems and recommend solutions, products, and technologies to meet business objectives.
  4. Manage changes to IT services and infrastructure, including upgrades, enhancements, and the implementation of new IT infrastructure hardware and software.
  5. Develop, design, maintain, and manage the IT Service Management policies and procedures.
  6. Ensure high performance and high availability of IT systems and services.
  7. Protect information technology assets and infrastructure from external/internal threats.
  8. Identify, analyse, manage, and mitigate IT operational risks.
  9. Perform preventative maintenance routines, Data Center Health checks, and regular checks of infrastructure capacity to maintain integrity and performance.
  10. Ensure Business Continuity procedures are followed to recover from disasters successfully.
  11. Ensure system security by conducting regular intrusion tests and applying anti-virus updates and controls.
  12. Provide efficient Enterprise Systems and end-user support as per service level agreements and key performance indicators.
  13. Ensure all systems and security service level agreements are achieved, maintained, monitored, and reported monthly.
  14. Oversee effective governance of IT processes and systems.
