**Exam Proctor Job Overview**

The ideal candidate for this role will oversee all arrangements for a smooth execution of exams as per SABIS guidelines.

  • This involves running all AMS/HE exams, periodic, and final exams accurately.
  • Conducting external exams (SAT, GCE, IGCSE, and AP according to the board regulations and guidelines).

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Pre-exam preparation: checking the capacity of the exam hall with class lists and exam timetables.
  • Preparing seating plans, labeling, and color-coding all desks with student names, computer numbers, classes, and sections.
  • Displaying notes, rules, and instructions inside and outside the exam hall.
  • Informing students and supervisors of the rules and regulations of the exam hall.
  • Maintaining a quiet and silent atmosphere during examinations.
  • Accurate scheduling and coordination with IT assistants to ensure timely uploads of required exams.
  • Secure storage of printed exams in a locked place.
  • Verification of correct number of copies for each class and subject.
  • Inspection of original copies for layout, formatting, pagination, sections, versions, exam numbers, misprinting, diagrams, etc.
  • Recording student absences and reporting to head supervisors.
  • Announcing exam duration and structure at the beginning of each session.
  • Reporting any offenses or irregularities to school directors immediately.
  • Collecting and counting written papers at the end of exams.
  • Printing lists of students for makeup exams.

**Ideal Candidate Profile**

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent English language proficiency and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Disciplinary, supervisory, and management abilities.
  • Confidentiality and discretion are essential.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
