Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Backend Software Developer to join our Global FX and Local Markets team at Citigroup Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing critical front-office and back-office applications for the Global FX and Local Markets business.
Key Responsibilities:- Taking ownership of delivering development tasks assigned by project leads
- Ensuring timely delivery and meeting team expectations
- Participating in the entire lifecycle of development projects, from requirement gathering to deployment
- Developing unit plans and performing unit testing to provide improved product experiences
- Assisting support teams as needed
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and articulation skills, with the ability to partner with non-technical and technical peers. They will also possess excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in pure technical roles in software development
- In-depth knowledge of Java, J2 EE, Spring, Spring Boot, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Struts framework, and EJB
- Awareness of industry-standard databases (Oracle) on UNIX platforms and database design principles
- Experience with transactional applications for low-latency, high-availability environments
- Knowledge of various treasury products (FX, Money Markets, Fixed Income & Derivatives)
