Android Mobile Application Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Android engineer to join our team. As an Android engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and building high-quality user interfaces on Android devices.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create a robust and scalable Android application that integrates with web-services using JSON and XML.
  2. Analyze existing applications and suggest improvements to make them more efficient and faster.
  3. Analyze and implement complex logic for various assignments.
  4. Optimize the user experience across different application types.
  5. Develop strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively describe and communicate technical issues.
  6. Build excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be interacting with multiple teams under pressure.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Android, with at least three shipped applications or software libraries.
  2. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience.
  3. Experience working with the NDK.
  4. Experience integrating complex web-services based on JSON and XML.
  5. Experience working with localized and globalized applications.
  6. Strong expertise in developing and optimizing Android applications using the Android SDK.
  7. Passion for runtime efficiency, reducing APK size, and minimizing memory overhead.
  8. Experience understanding large and complex code bases.
  9. Proficiency in Java and related frameworks, multi-threading, and memory management specific to mobile devices.
  10. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
