Job Description
Tire technicians play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our vehicles. As a tire mechanic specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing tire issues, including punctures, leaks, and tread wear. Your expertise will also include mounting, balancing, and rotating tires to extend their lifespan and optimize vehicle handling.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Inspect and diagnose tire issues, including punctures, leaks, and tread wear
* Mount, balance, and rotate tires to ensure even wear and extend tire lifespan
* Install new tires on cars, trucks, and other vehicles as needed
* Maintain proper air pressure and alignment to optimize vehicle handling and safety
* Operate tire-changing and balancing equipment safely and efficiently
* Assist customers in selecting the right tires based on their needs and budget
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience as a tire technician or in a related automotive role is preferred
* Knowledge of different tire brands, types, and maintenance techniques
* Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicle suspension and alignment is a plus
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
