Senior Credit Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of credit plans and objectives to achieve strategic bank goals.

Credit Planning and Development:

  • Evaluate and participate in the development of comprehensive credit strategies to align with bank objectives.
  • Serve as a supervisor to ensure the accuracy and validity of credit officer work.
  • Collaborate in the preparation and update of credit policy, guidelines, and standards.
  • Contribute to the review and evaluation of expected credit losses, risk acceptance frameworks, and target market standards.
  • Develop recommendations to enhance workflow efficiency.

Credit Assessment and Risk Analysis:

  • Analyze credit applications and verify compliance with established credit policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote transparent and accurate risk assessments through thorough evaluations.

Team Management and Reporting:

  • Generate periodic reports on credit reviews in line with credit policies and regulatory demands.
  • Lead subordinate employees in credit administration to ensure effective performance.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior credit role with delegated authority.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and industry best practices is essential.
  • Bahraini nationals and expats currently working in the Bahraini banking sector are eligible applicants.
  • Sufficient knowledge of credit administration functions.

Key Competencies:
