Job Title:Civil Engineer I - Quality Control

Primary Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and direct quality programs to ensure consistent delivery of projects, aligning with established standards.

Oversee inspection/testing activities to establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.

Quality Management:

  • Review and approve site ITPs, QCPs and ITRs based on corporate standards.
  • Develop comprehensive quality management systems to enhance overall quality.
  • Closely coordinate with completions teams to ensure accurate forecasting of ITRs in Petro PCS.

Collaboration and Partnership:

  • Build strong partnerships with site subcontractors to ensure efficient inspection/testing activities.
  • Engage with customers' representatives to address quality-related concerns.
  • Coordinate receipt inspections to guarantee smooth delivery.

Verification and Governance:

  • Verify adherence to applicable codes and standards in quality-related site activities.
  • Participate in internal and external site audits to maintain compliance.
  • Lead quality site inspections through site QC inspectors.

Action and Continuous Enhancement:

  • Ensure timely submission of ITRs to completions teams.
  • Proactively manage non-conformance reports and initiate corrective actions.
  • Implement effective quality control measures to prevent recurring issues.

Skills Development:

  • Provide specialized training to site QC inspectors based on customers' specifications.
  • Monitor the successful implementation of the approved site QC plan.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Prepare and facilitate approval of sites' QC technical submittals to customers.
  • Coordinate toolbox talks/training sessions with subcontractors to enhance knowledge sharing.

Leadership and Direction:

  • Ensure site quality control documents are current and compliant.
  • Directly supervise subcontractor QC personnel.

Excellence in Quality:

  • Contribute to developing construction-specific quality procedures.
  • Deliver inductions/trainings on project QMS to all project personnel and subcontractor teams as required.
  • Organize and conduct internal audits, including preparation of audit plans and coordination with auditees.

Knowledge Sharing and Growth:

  • Compile project QMS performance reports, including KPIs, for review by Project Management and Corporate Quality Director.
  • Facilitate Project QMS Review Meetings during construction and monitor closeout actions.

Learning and Improvement:

  • Embed lessons learned into quality processes and report new insights to Project LL coordinators.
  • Support Senior QA Engineers/Principle QA Engineers with supplementary tasks and responsibilities.
