Accountant Role Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing the general ledger and ensuring accurate month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify that transactions have been properly accounted for and accurately reflect the company's accounting process.
  • Supervise all regular accounting processes, including journal entries approval, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Justify general ledger accounts regularly to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Monitor account reconciliations and top-of-balance-sheet elements, such as financing and capital expenditures.
  • Administer fixed assets activities when applicable and ensure intercompany activities are performed in a timely and efficient manner.
Financial Planning and Analysis:

The successful candidate will provide support in statutory accounts production and perform tax declarations and new tax schemes implementation.

Reporting and Compliance:

Ensure local financial legal requirements are met by studying existing and new legislation and advising management on needed actions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting software systems. Experience working in a similar role and a degree in Accounting or Finance is highly desirable.
