Job Brief
We are seeking a Hostess to serve as the initial point of contact for guests. The role requires a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and effective communication skills.

The Hostess will be responsible for:

  1. Greeting guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  2. Communicating with other staff to inform them of client bookings, needs, requests, allergies, and special events.
  3. Recognizing key individuals, such as shareholders, regulars, etc.
  4. Familiarizing themselves with the restaurant's Reception Sequence of Service.
  5. Drawing up client bookings for tables and ensuring that tables are set before clients' arrival, keeping the floor plan updated to maximize bookings.
  6. Managing the front desk by receiving incoming calls, greeting, and attending to customers while maintaining restaurant standards.
  7. Informing guests about table availability and directing them to their seats.
  8. Collaborating with other restaurant staff and management to ensure timely resolution of customer complaints (floor and online).
  9. Checking restaurant emails and responding accordingly, bringing relevant information to the attention of management when necessary.
  10. Controlling reservations to optimize the number of covers.
  11. Processing all reservation inquiries via phone or booking system.
  12. Confirming large group reservations with the manager on duty prior to accepting the reservation.
  13. Verifying next-day reservations via phone and allocating the correct tag on the booking system.
  14. Retrieving reservation availability from the system.
  15. Cancelling, amending, and confirming existing reservations.
  16. Maintaining impeccable personal appearance at all times, adhering to the restaurant's standards.
  17. Providing clear handovers during shift changes.
  18. Timely and effective communication of guest information, such as reservation notes, birthdays, allergies, and special comments, to the manager on duty.
  19. Reporting any security concerns to the manager on duty.
