Role Description

As a Global Procurement Expert, you will be responsible for leading local procurement efforts and managing direct reports. You will leverage your business acumen to provide strategic thinking and guidance to ensure margin protection and value creation.

  • You will lead and develop an adaptable and agile Procurement organization to deliver an optimal mix of product availability, quality, service level, and price.
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including regular meetings to achieve early involvement in business strategy definition and influence key decisions.

Accountabilities

  • Translate business requirements into actionable plans and align local sourcing plans with regional plans according to cluster direction.
  • Master complex negotiations to drive business needs and proactively build levers.
  • Coordinate and steer critical negotiations and lead complex ones, anticipating results and aligning with stakeholders on possible negotiation outcomes.
  • Provide visibility during the budgeting process, close alignment with budget owners (MD—1), and finance, providing market insights like inflation and driving value initiatives that protect local affiliate margins.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required. A Diploma from a recognized Procurement Institute is an asset, and an MBA degree or equivalent is a plus.
  • No less than 7 years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain/commercial functions, familiar with market regulatory environments, excellent analytical skills, and communication skills are essential.
