Job Summary:

The Cybersecurity Lead will oversee the development and maintenance of the project's cybersecurity architecture, leading or assisting in the implementation and management of cybersecurity solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide an independent assessment of the adequacy, effectiveness, and sustainability of security operations work and develop action plans to mitigate identified vulnerabilities and promote security initiatives.
  2. Define and evaluate security technologies required to ensure safe technology operation and detection of cyber-attacks.
  3. Offer security recommendations on actions that assist in improving security posture within the environment.
  4. Ensure that necessary changes to security policy documentation are incorporated as directed by senior management.
  5. Collaborate with Information Security and IT staff to ensure key security controls are working as intended and recommend improvements where appropriate.
  6. Work with the business and IT to specify cybersecurity controls and convey security control requirements to users and information custodians.
  7. Assess and analyze security operations and suggest improvements in collaboration with the security organization team members.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields is required.
  2. Minimum of five years of experience in IT/Security operations or Security Operations Center role.
  3. Display good knowledge of recognized information security domains: Access Controls, Application Security, Cryptography, Risk Management, Compliance and Investigations, Operations Security, Physical Security, Security Architecture, and Telecommunication.
  4. Good knowledge of the NIST CyberSecurity framework and Cyber Security requirements within Bahraini Government.
  5. Proficient in developing cyber security strategies, policies, and procedures.
  6. Proficient in performing security risk assessments and maturity assessments.
  7. Experience in performing security awareness and security audits.
  8. Holds an Information/cybersecurity related certification such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CEH.
  9. Network+, CIHE, CCNA R&S, SSCP, Security +, CySA+, Linux security, windows security, or forensics training is a plus.

Preferred Candidate:

A preferred candidate will have a valid Bahraini driving license and must be present in Bahrain at the time of application.
