Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Lawyer to join our team as a Crypto Compliance Specialist. As a key member of our regulatory compliance department, you will play a crucial role in assisting with a broad range of legal/regulatory matters, including regulatory perimeter assessments, licensing/registration applications, product assessment, and regulatory investigations across the Middle East, with a focus on the UAE and Bahrain.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with regulatory perimeter assessments, licensing/registration applications, product assessment, and regulatory investigations
  • Provide legal/regulatory support to local and global business teams on product launches and marketing campaigns
  • Draft product terms and ensure compliance with regulatory rules
  • Work closely with various operational functions (e.g. Finance, Compliance and product teams) to support and advise on efficient and compliant operations
  • Proactively identify legal problems, solutions and potential support needed to provide strategic support to local business teams

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must be a qualified lawyer of a common law jurisdiction, with a minimum of 5-7 years post qualification experience. Interactions with financial regulatory authorities will be advantageous. In-house experience gained from relevant industries - Financial Services, Fintech or other Technology Corporations are highly preferred. You should possess solid legal technical expertise as well as sound business and people judgment sense. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global organization maintaining close contact with relevant teams across multiple locations is essential. Excellent technical drafting skills and attention to detail are also required.
