Gulf Air Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Procurement and Supply Chain Management to join its team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing procurement activities for goods and services across departments, ensuring compliance with Bahrain Tender Board regulations and company procurement policies while maintaining uninterrupted and timely supply.

About the Role

The Head of Procurement and Supply Chain Management will lead the procurement department in achieving its goals and objectives, providing strategic direction and guidance to ensure the efficient management of procurement processes. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs, while also ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Review and Ensure Compliance: Review and ensure compliance of user's Request for Tender (RFT), Executive Summaries (ES), and Business Cases with internal procurement manual and Bahrain Tender Board laws and regulations.
  • Manage Reporting: Manage the timely publication and completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual BTB reports within the first week of each month.
  • Tender Strategy: Prepare Tender Strategy Memorandum (TSM) for approval by Senior Manager Procurement for relevant tenders.
  • Supplier Management: Manage the process of reviewing the Request for Proposal (RFP) to be issued to suppliers for related tenders.
  • Communication: Draft letters to the Bahrain Tender Board for related tenders and other matters related to the operations including but not limited to tender initial strategy, tender evaluation and selection report, tender negotiations outcome, Business Cases etc.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You will be a strategic thinker, able to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
