Job Description

As a Commis (Bakery), you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operation and working in the bakery kitchen. This role requires creating high-quality and creative bakery products, following instructions and recommendations from the Executive Sous Chef, and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene within the bakery kitchen.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the daily operation and work in the bakery kitchen
  • Create high-quality and creative bakery products
  • Follow instructions and recommendations from the Executive Sous Chef to complete daily tasks
  • Ensure the highest standards of hygiene within the bakery kitchen
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of previous experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef in a Bakery
  • Proficient with local rules and regulations involving Health, Safety, and HACCP
  • The strength to lift, push, and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) which can also involve bending and kneeling
  • A good grasp of reading, writing, and basic maths
  • The flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol
  • Great communication skills
