Education Support Role

About the Position:

This position is located in a school setting and involves supporting educational efforts in classrooms.

Duties:
  • Administrative tasks such as attendance records, filing, scheduling, and reviewing assignments
  • Supporting educational efforts in Special Education and general education classrooms as needed
  • Working with students in accordance with plans developed by specialists and educators
  • Making sure students are safe during different phases of the school day
  • Preparing instructional materials related to classroom lessons
  • Accompanying and supervising students on field trips
  • Providing testing results using identified scoring techniques
  • Tutoring students in various subjects
Requirements:
  • Male applicants born after 1959 may be required to complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship is necessary.
  • Direct deposit of pay is mandatory.
  • A two-year trial period may be required.
  • Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination based on a background investigation.
  • This role requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks due to interaction with children under the age of 18.
Qualifications:

To qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements outlined below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid work, including volunteer experience through National Service programs or other organizations. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience.

General Requirements:
  • One year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed for this role.
Education:
  • Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited institution.
Combination of Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position if the computed percentage meets or exceeds 100%.
