We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Expert to join our team at Binance. As a leading global blockchain ecosystem, we prioritize compliance and risk management in all our operations.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and reviewing assigned Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) cases within available Service Level Agreements (SLAs). They will advise relevant stakeholders on next steps, maintain SAR escalation logs, and ensure all escalations to the team are promptly reviewed and resolved.

They will also maintain client off-boarding logs and support client off-boarding processes where required. In cases where there are grounds for suspicion or a requirement for guidance, they will escalate accordingly to the team lead and relevant Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs).

The ideal candidate will partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen the quality of SARs, ensuring consistency and accuracy. They will be proficient in compliance applications and programs such as Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, Kodex, World-Check, etc.

A good understanding of local laws, directives, regulations, and standards applicable to subject persons, as well as knowledge of upcoming regulation of virtual currency policies, is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle and review assigned SAR cases within available SLAs
  • Advise relevant stakeholders on next steps
  • Maintain SAR escalation logs
  • Educate clients on anti-money laundering (AML) procedures
  • Develop and implement AML training programs
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve SAR quality
  • Participate in internal and external programs related to AML/CFT and other subjects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in investigations, including filing SARs, or related audit/regulatory experience at a financial institution or fintech company
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to be action-oriented and seek to meet high standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, analytical, and investigative skills
